New postdoc in Simulation Group
Dr Shivraj Karewar joined as a postdoctoral associate from May 2018 at the institute WWI. He completed his PhD from University of North Texas, USA in May 2015 and then spent 2.5 years at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands before joining FAU. He worked on understanding the deformation mechanisms of nano-crystalline Mg-Li alloys using atomistic simulations for PhD dissertation. During postdoc tenure he worked on atomistic simulations of martensitic phase transformations in Fe and Fe-C systems.
At the institute, he will work with Dr. Erik Bitzek mainly on the atomistic simulations of the fracture at the interfaces. We welcome him and wish him all the best for his time at the university.
